Crisis at McMUN
24 Jan, 2013
BREAKING – McMUN, the McGill University-hosted Model United Nations conference, has been interrupted by a broken water main. Early negotiations across the various committees were rained on this evening as a broken water main in the South-East corner of the Sheraton Centre created wide-spread leaks in the basement conference rooms and on the main floor. Delegates in the area were evacuated so that efforts to contain the leak could begin. At the time of this posting at least 4 fire engines were spotted at the scene.
Delegates of the Rwanda Committee in the Triple Joint Crisis initially believed that the fire alarm that went off as the water main broke was part of their crisis situation and acted on it. Committees are now finished for the night.
